Rime, alias Jersey Joe, is an American graffiti artist. He was born in 1979 in Brooklyn, New York. Rime took up graffiti in 1991 on Staten Island, NYC, before venturing into other New York neighbourhoods, notably Soho in Manhattan. He spent several years developing his technique and style on the streets of New York and, from 1995, in the districts of New Jersey. In 2003, he took his first trip outside the United States, travelling through Europe for two months. There he gained international recognition under the pseudonyms Rime and Jersey Joe. On his return, he began to show his work in galleries. In 2005, he left the East Coast to settle in Los Angeles.
